We are a research group in genetic epidemiology anchored at Statens Serum Institut in Copenhagen. Our research is aimed at identifying genetic variants associated with health and disease and understanding the underlying molecular mechanisms. We have a particular focus on pregnancy and selected diseases of childhood, and have extensive experience in combining the use of Denmarkâs comprehensive, nationwide health registers linked with samples in large-scale biobanks. We thereby contribute to building foundations for subsequent translational research leading to improved prevention, diagnosis and treatment of patients.
